About This Product

This is a 2015 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Buena Vista Social Club's self-titled. The musical ensemble originally released their studio album on September 16, 1997, via Worl Circuit record label. directed by Juan de Marcos Gonzálezand and produced by Ry Cooder, the album was recorded at Havana's EGREM studios in March 1996. In 2022, the album was selected for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally historically or aesthetically significant". In the same year, it was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the best-selling world music album.
