This is a 2021 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Landquidity by Sun Ra. The American jazz composer originally released his studio album on August 14, 1979, through the Philly Jazz record label. Produced by the artist, the album draws heavily on funk, R&B and jazz fusion. Recorded overnight at Bob Bank’s Blank Tapes on 17th July 1978 after the Arkestra had appeared on Saturday Night Live, the album is unique in the Ra catalogue. Sun Ra was a prolific recording artist and frequent live performer, and remained influential throughout his life for his music and persona. Over the course of his career, he recorded dozens of singles and over one hundred full-length albums, comprising well over 1,000 songs, making him one of the most prolific recording artists of the 20th century.
