About This Product
The Doumbek is a traditional Middle Eastern hand drum. Similar to Africa's Djembe but slightly different in shape, it is common in Egyptian and Persian music. The MEINL aluminum doumbek made with a hand engraved shell that responds with immense tones, from deep low notes to snapping, ringing highs. It has a tunable and replaceable synthetic head which provides the basis for powerful and rich sound. This handheld drum measures 18" tall with an 8-3/4" head. MEINL doumbeks have become the choice of many professional world percussion players for their superior properties as well as their durability and fine craftsmanship

Can I test an item before buying it?
Unless displayed in a store, we keep our instruments freshly sealed in our warehouse. Should you wish to try an instrument before ordering it online, please call your favourite Swee Lee showroom before heading down, and our staff will be happy to assist!
